"In 50 years will you remember Steve Jobs? According to Malcolm Gladwell, author of "The Tipping Point," no one will.
In a recent talk at the Toronto Public Library's Appel Salon, Gladwell said that Jobs, the late Apple co-founder, will likely be forgotten for his contributions to the technology industry. The author suggests that entrepreneurs, like Jobs, aren't worth being idolized.
Gladwell does, however, think that Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates will be remembered, but for his philanthropy not entrepreneurship."

I really don't like Gladwell.

My guess is neither will be remembered.

I'm guessing he'll be forgotten the same way Edison was. He'll always be a figure of conversation, and it is difficult to genuinely discuss the early careers of either without the other, especially when you're talking the business side of what they did.

I guess it depends on your definition of remembering. We remember Ford and other early titans of industry, I don't see how some segment of the population will not remember both. Jobs for the first apple computers and Gates for Windows and his philanthropy.

Gates also shock his pants for Jerry Seinfeld....

Also "The author suggests that entrepreneurs, like Jobs, aren't worth being idolized."...... Edison, bitch
