RT @beautifulplcs: Winter in Joshua Tree National Park in #California. http://t.co/lg2yGJ3O7b
I told my kids last week that I saw pics of snow in Joshua Tree and they wanted to go immediately. Nice, but it's COLD there in winter. - Anika
Ya, but I'd say it's worth it just for the nights. Being able to look into the night sky and truly being able to see the Milky Way high above you and the City glow of 29 Palms & Palm Springs out in the distance. Those are memories I'll always have. - Bluesun 2600
One of the things that you have to deal with down here in the low 48 is never really being able to get away from city glow. Even in the South Eastern corner of Oregon, that is the darkest section of the Lower 48, you still get city glow off in the distance. Seeing a Dark Night sky with no hint of light pollution is next to impossible today. - Bluesun 2600
I just go to Joshua Tree during the summer. No cold! - Anika
That's gorgeous! - Jenny H.
