I find it odd that they would typeset this for a specific year, particularly for a specific calendar year rather than school year. Snopes is also skeptical about this and similar contracts. http://www.snopes.com/languag...

It also looks like Times New Roman. If typed out, it probably would have looked like courier typeface. I think I will call BS on this one. The school board and location probably would have been named.

Taking partial issue with Joe: It wouldn't have looked like Courier (a typeface designed in 1955, mostly for computer printing)...but it *would,* if typed, have been monospaced like Pica or Elite. That is clearly proportional type, thus either typeset (quite possible) in 1923 or a recent hoax.
