Anyone have a Domke bag?

I have one very similar to that but it's actually an Army-issued bag (it was carried by Jack Bauer in some season of 24 which makes me unassailably cool). I really like the look of this bag, though, as I don't have a proper camera bag. I usually just carry my camera in the main compartment of my Timbuk2.

I love the "Olive Drab" color!!

Is yours very lightly padded too? The Domke's have virtually no padding. Just a thin layer on the bottom plus some canvas inside to separate lenses. That both appeals to me (lighter, can hold more, molds to your hip) and worries me.

Benjamin, yep. It'll practically collapse on its own if it doesn't have anything to hold it up. You should be able to get some kind of padding and install it yourself, if you wanted. Personally, I'm willing to take the risk for a lighter bag. So many camera bags are stiff, uncomfortable, and a pain to deal with. I took mine with me on a trip to Mexico and I'm glad I didn't go with a bulkier bag.

Megen got me one. So far I'm loving it. It really molds to my hip and doesn't get in the way. I'll still use my Crumpler for air travel but this will be my new day bag for sure.

Excellent. Adding one to my wish list now.

The more I use it the more I love it. The main compartment can swallow a D700 with 50mm 1.4, 16-35mm, and 70-300mm VR (with any of those mounted to the body). But because there isn't much padding and it's mostly canvas it still looks small. If I only bring 2 lenses I can lay the camera down flat. Some lenses won't fit in the main compartment pockets with a hood on. The 16-35mm has this issue but the 50mm and 70-300mm don't. There is plenty of space in the side pockets for hoods.
