Meg is 6 weeks old tomorrow, and I still can't think straight. It might be partially the sleep deprivation, but I think this mental fog goes beyond that. Specifically, if Meg is crying, I can't think about anything other than how to help her (which is a problem when I am driving, for example). Any other moms out there experience this? That definitely happened to me, with both babies. I think it's part sleep deprivation and part hormonal. The only way I found to cope was just to do the best I could and remember that it gets better as time goes on. :/ - Rochelle
