Apparently since switching up my shampoo, my hair has been growing like a weed. My stylist was just shocked at how much she had to cut off this time. My hair tends to grow fast anyway, but this was a bit crazy.
Whoa. What are you using now? - Corinne L
I switched to co-washing; I started with RenPure a few months ago (because they were at Target) and then Wen in the last couple of months. I wasn't expecting that much of a difference, but my hair has really loved the routine. As a bonus, almost no static at all this winter, which is a miracle. - Jennifer Dittrich
Had to look it up...aha, I've heard of this. Is your hair thick or naturally wavy? - Corinne L
No, not at all. It's pretty fine, though I've got a lot of it. (Well, the back of my hair curls, but it is mostly straight.) - Jennifer Dittrich
Really? I occasionally do the baking soda with ACV rinse routine if I feel there's too much buildup, but haven't tried co-washing. My hair is very fine as well. Right now I am in dire need of a cut - hope to get the funds soon for a major chop (well, to my shoulders, not a pixie, though that would be fun). - Corinne L
Yeah, I'd been doing it every other day for a while, and finally decided to just give it a go. The RenPure stuff wasn't expensive, so it didn't feel like an investment to try. Wen is more expensive, but I have to admit it has worked a bit better. - Jennifer Dittrich
Hmmm. I'll keep that in mind, especially if it's minimized static. (You look super cute in your cheers photo, btw!) - Corinne L
Thanks! I was rushed taking it as everyone was piling in for the game, and toasting and holding the phone was a bit of a juggle, so I was glad it didn't look too weird :D - Jennifer Dittrich
Does it cure baldness? Asking for a friend. - Stephan Planken
Heh - going by their commercials, I'd assume it can cure the common cold as well. - Jennifer Dittrich
wow, I just read a bunch of scary stories about Wen... proceed with caution, I guess - maʀtha
Yeah, I've seen some of those (I've also seen a lot of astro-turf comments about it on product pages, so I weigh both sides of that.) Using it, I can see how people might run into problems - it takes a while to properly rinse out, and any sort of conditioner is likely to build up if you don't rinse thoroughly enough. The infomercials make it sound like you should leave it on your head for hours and use half of a bottle, which are probably both bad ideas. - Jennifer Dittrich
