Can anyone recommend an alternative to fotolog that offers a good calendar view of uploaded photos (I want to create a daily photo diary - ala photo365) but has better privacy settings? I'd like to control who can see my photos. (via http://friendfeed.com/dansmit...)
Reading the other post, it seems like Flickr doesn't float the boat? Did you check out the archive page? Here is mine for March: http://www.flickr.com/photos...

Thanks Justin. I didn't realise that Flickr had the calendar view in the archive page. Neat, that's just the sort of thing I wanted. Cheers!

You see, Flickr was what you were after. ;-)

haha, yeah you're right Kol! Didn't know it had that feature. Although I do think Fotolog is more suited for a one-a-day photo blog. It integrates with Facebook nicely too.

You could create your on site, e.g. with WordPress and use a photoblog-type template? I did this with my own photography site using Serendipity.

I've now decided to use Fotolog for the time being but have chosen a user name that is less like my real name! It's all very well keeping a photo blog of your life, but less appealing if your boss etc. can see exactly what you get up to!
- Dan Smith
Hehe, let's hope you're boss doesn't read FriendFeed too. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Yeah, I hope so! ;)
- Dan Smith
Yeah I was thinking about setting up my own site. There must be a template with a good calendar type look to it.

Have you admined a WordPress site before? Pretty easy to do. There are LOTS of different themes for it and you can full control over things like calendar.
- Kol Tregaskes
Nope, I haven't got a wordpress site. I will check it out!

There's some great looking themes there. Cheers Kol.
