^ this quote is really problematic to me. No, I don't have kids, but it seems like if your kids feel like you don't love them because you say no, there's something else going on. Am I missing something in the whole parenting concept with that? (I know, there are temper tantrums and such, but even then saying no doesn't mean you don't love them). - ellbeecee
Your comment reminds me of an an episode of Taxi where Elaine is telling about her son who wanted... something, I forget what, so he had asked for it in bedtime prayers. When it didn't happen or he didn't get it (whatever it was), she said she was sorry God didn't answer his prayer. The kid said that he did get an answer. The answer was no. - bentley
