My Doc has referred me for physical therapy - 6 sessions. Very tight lower back and hips. My Kid says the PT place at the fancy gym will be less rushed than the hospital and will take my insurance. Gotta call them. What do I wear?? Should I buy some yoga pants or something?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You don't necessarily need yoga pants, but you want something that will move easily with you. I wore a t-shirt and a pair of sweat capris to all of my PT appointments and it worked out well. Yoga pants may be more pilates-ball-friendly, if you end up being put through those exercises.

Yeah, I don't know what I'll be doing yet. And I don't actually own any type of stretchy pants. I figure I'll need something flexible.

Yep, as Hookuh says, something comfortable and loose enough to be flexible. You might also be able to ask when you call - mine gave me a brief rundown when I made my first appointment.

Sigh...it's finally caught up with me. I never needed exercise gear because... exercise.

i wear yoga pants. I see folks stretching in just about everything, even jeans (altho I asked the gal wearing jeans and she says she unbuttons them). Hips and lower back, you'll be on the floor pulling your knees to your chest a lot of different ways, so stretchy is important.
