Time to go see wildflowers!

Carrizo Plain, Antelope Valley, and maybe Death Valley could make for a good weekend trip.

I still haven't gone. Maybe next weekend?

Anza-Borrego might be too far south for me. I was thinking Carrizo Plain, Antelope Valley, then Death Valley, then up hwy 395 to Tahoe, since the other passes are closed. So many places to go! :)

Interesting. I went there yesterday and there was very little. However, I think if I had gone to the north side (hiking longer than I had time for) I might've seen some. GOOD NEWS though is that desertusa's site pointed to some other locations with really amazing fields of flowers! I saw lots of orange (poppies) and yellows in Lancaster, and lots of purples by Soda Lake at Carrizo Plain. Pics soon.
