Northbound 280 used to have an exit for 17 south and 880 north. It's now going to have 2 lanes for 17 south, 2 lanes for 880 north, and … 3 lanes for people trying to get to the mall.

Northbound 17 exiting to the mall and northbound 280 exiting to the mall used to have to merge and weave; now they get their own dedicated lanes. NB 17 gets 2 lanes to the mall and NB 280 gets 3 lanes to the mall, merging into a **5 lane exit** for people going to the mall. And that's just northbound.

It looks like southbound 17 has 4 lanes to Stevens Creek plus 1 lane bypassing that, to go to the mall more directly.

And I can't tell for sure but it looks like Stevens Creek between 880 and the mall will be … 11 lanes!

The construction there has been a nightmare for years. Looks like that nightmare is ongoing.

I just drove down 101 from SF to MTV and was amazed by how nice it is. I had been avoiding it because of all the construction, but now it's nice :) so I hope 280/880 becomes nice too.

The part near Shoreline? I don't like how if you're taking Shoreline to 101 South or 101 South to 85 South there's this weird crossover spur that can get backed up, but it does look nice!
