Giorgio Moroder http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... Hansjörg "Giorgio" Moroder (on record sleeves often only Giorgio) (born 26 April 1940, Urtijëi, Italy)[1] is an Italian (first language: German and Ladin.[2]) record producer, songwriter and performer based in Los Angeles. When in Munich in the 1970s, he started his own record label called Oasis Records, which several years later became a subdivision of Casablanca Records. His work with synthesizers during the 1970s and 1980s had a significant influence on New Wave, house, techno and electronic music in general.[3] Particularly well known for his work with Donna Summer during the era of disco (including "Love to Love You Baby" and "I Feel Love"), Moroder is the founder of the former Musicland Studios in Munich, which was used as a recording studio by artists including the Electric Light Orchestra, Led Zeppelin, Queen and Elton John.
In addition to producing several hits with Donna Summer, Moroder also produced a number of electronic disco hits for The Three Degrees, two albums for Sparks, a handful of songs on Bonnie Tyler's album Bitterblue as well as her 1985 single "Here She Comes" and a score of songs for performers including David Bowie, Irene Cara, Madleen Kane, Melissa Manchester, Blondie, Japan, and France Joli.
The recipient of multiple music awards, Moroder is additionally noted for his prolific soundtrack work. He is also credited with pioneering and helping to popularize the Eurodisco sound. , 6 -28 Giorgio Moroder - Battlestar Galactica http://www.youtube.com/watch...

John Leckie , Leckie began work at Abbey Road Studios on 15 February 1970 as a Tape-Operator, later graduating to Balance Engineer.[1] During this early career he worked with artists such as John Lennon (John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band), George Harrison, (All Things Must Pass),[1] Syd Barrett (Barrett) and Pink Floyd (Meddle and Wish You Were Here). With Paul McCartney's Wings Leckie worked on Red Rose Speedway and the then-controversial single Hi, Hi, Hi. Snuff Garrett http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... , 12 -13 In 1959, Garrett became a producer at Liberty Records in Hollywood. His first job as producer for the label was on Johnny Burnette's "Settin The Woods On Fire" on July 9, 1959. Among Garrett's roster of artists were Bobby Vee, Johnny Burnette, Gene McDaniels, Buddy Knox, Walter Brennan, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, and later Cher of Sonny & Cher. He was also responsible for hiring Phil Spector http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... for a short period as an assistant producer for Liberty. Later Garrett had his own record label, Snuff Garrett Records and Viva Records.
In 1966-67 Garrett and J J Cale co-produced A trip down the Sunset Strip, attributed to the Leathercoated Minds, a compilation of psychedelic covers together with four instrumentals of Cale's own composition.
Many of Garrett's hit singles came from songs by the Brill Building songwriters in New York City. One of his assistants was future recording star Leon Russell. Garrett was invited early on to produce The Monkees, but a test session did not go well, with the Monkees preferring to work with Boyce and Hart, writers of "Last Train to Clarksville" and the Monkees's theme song.
Garrett worked regularly with The Johnny Mann Singers and The Ron Hicklin Singers on many projects, and was responsible for the new sound of The Ray Conniff Singers in the early 1970s (which employed the Hicklin Singers), producing two albums with Conniff. In 1976, Garrett set up a sublabel of Casablanca Records called Casablanca West. The label released just one album and two singles before folding. In 1978, Garrett produced the country-oriented soundtrack of Clint Eastwood's Every Which Way but Loose, which appeared on Garrett's latter-day label, Viva Records. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... , 2 -17 http://www.allmusic.com/artist...

[[[ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... [[[[ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... http://www.songfacts.com/detail... http://www.metrolyrics.com/all-she... , { Wild eyed pistol wavers } Don Henley didn't write this song - Danny Kortchmar did. Kortchmar spent much of the '70s playing guitar and piano of seminal albums by James Taylor (Sweet Baby James, J.T.), Warren Zevon (Excitable Boy), and Carole King (Tapestry).
When Henley launched his solo career, he tapped Kortchmar's talents not just a musician, but also as a songwriter. Songs they wrote together include "Dirty Laundry," "New York Minute" and "I Can't Stand Still." Kortchmar also wrote some songs on his own for Henley, becoming one of the few writers whose words the Eagles founder would put to tape. "All She Wants to Do Is Dance" is one of these completely Kortchmar compositions. In our 2013 interview, Danny told us how it came together: "I had the groove and the music going. That record was made back when the technology had just started to really take over in music. I had one of the first Yamaha DX 7s,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... http://www.vintagesynth.com/yamaha... which was a keyboard that was used a ton in the '80s, but we ended up luckily getting one of the first ones in the United States. It's a synthesizer keyboard, and I used it to get that sound that you hear the record starting with.
I was fooling around with that and created a track at home while we were making one of those albums. The next morning I woke up and wrote the whole lyric in about 20 minutes - wrote the whole thing. It came very easily.
I can't really tell you the process, just that the music suggested to me what I wanted and then it just came out very quickly." 5 -2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
