"This is normal. The mic is just a mic, it doesn't have built in software and it doesn't come with any extra software. What do you mean black spots on the mic? Do you mean there's areas where the mic won't pick up? That's normal, as the element of the mic only picks up in front of it (here's the range: http://eu.audio-technica.com/en...) What I do is run the microphone through Adobe Audition, using VAC Cables, and run various software condensers and effects on the signal, then pipe it into OBS. It works pretty well, though there's a slight delay on the mic input into OBS, so you have to compensate for that by adding a delay to the webcam.
