Indeed! EA is one of the few to "get it." The Pirate's Dilemma (book by Matt Mason) should be considered the "Cluetrain Manifesto" for the collision of intellectual property issues and business. The train is pulling away from the station...

"...My only hope as a young atheist growing up was to find some group where I belonged that offered a significant degree of solidarity without intellectual and emotional disparagement. This is the hope of all humans to a greater or lesser degree. As an atheist, groups such as this one were, for a long time, something I hoped to find brotherhood and companionship in. Alas, no matter how “intellectual” and socially “sophisticated” atheists and academics claim to be, they are, in every instance, whiny, disagreeable and emotionally incompetent. I have, as I said, more or less withdrawn from all social circles as atheist groups are not the only groups, of course, to allow an emergent tribalism and exclusivity to dominate relations. This is also the very reason I ignore and dismiss political activism.
I am 23 years old. I represent the new generation of atheists very well - indifferent, disillusioned and resentful. You atheist americans that came before me are a disgrace and have soiled the potential that atheism offers.

I'm not wild about the rant, but I think I have felt his pain so I sorta sympathize. Of course, the first thing I learned is to keep it to myself, which is why he feels like he's the only person on earth who feels this way.

"Three Dots and a Dash. Photo courtesy of Married... with dinner.
Martin Cate, Tiki historian and former proprietor of Forbidden Island in Alameda, opens his newest venture Smuggler's Cove (650 Gough Street) to the public this evening. A couple weeks back we ran one of the 80 recipes for (mostly) rum-based drinks he'll be featuring on the menu, and late last week we got to sample several and get a peek at the place. Seriously folks, it's damn cute, water feature and all, with two bars and a small upstairs mezzanine, and packed to the gills with objects from Tiki bars' past, including three small shrines along the main wall to Trader Vic's, Skipper Kent's, and Don the Beachcomber.
Here, courtesy of Married...with dinner are some pictures of the place, which will likely be pretty packed with curious imbibers for the next few weeks. We highly recommend the Three Dots and a Dash -- a fine and classic combo of rum, falernum and citrus with some other loveliness thrown in. And check out the amazing, custom-made, ceramic volcano bowls and barrel mugs!"
