Open Access Week 2014 - http://buildingblogsofscience....
What do brain machine interfaces and Open Science have in common? They are two examples of concepts that I never thought I would get to see materialised in my lifetime. I was wrong. I had heard of the idea of Open Access as Public Library of Science was about to launch (or was in its […] - Kubke

36 hours to go for our first OAW do in New Zealand - Telling your full story: building a research portfolio for academic success.
Working on being granted back the copyright of an article that I published in1987. Don't know who owns the copyright - no (c) stamp on the paper and the journal is no longer published. According to the government records it is registered under the institute where I did my undergrad fellowship.
Emailed the institute director (who was a young postdoc in the lab at the time). Asking her to release the paper back to me under a cc-by. Hoping for an OAW gift from her in the form of "yes of course, dear" - Kubke
Finally got back from the Institute director - she says the institute now is a different legal entity of the one where I worked (changed name, etc) so need to chase someone from the old editorial board of the journal. Oh my. I am sure Queen Anne did not have this in mind. - Kubke

well, I managed to submit 2/3 of my coding homework due today - that's ok - not doing it for he marks. (Grr). Tomorrow is another day.
