You would think, given how widespread it is somebody would have posted a screen shot and an explanation of the scam. I personally did not fall victim to a phisher. "1. I have no idea.... There is no logcal reason I can find based on my behavior. 2. Strong password. 3. Always possible it could have been guessed but highly unlikely 4. Yes.. also strong and not compromised (all changed now of course) 5. Yes and Yes. Paypal said they were powerless to reverse the charge as they were not a financial institution, but promised that I would not lose the money. Apple blocked my account, even for my own use. My bank blocked the transactions (luckily I had a bank account as funding source on paypal and that slowed down the process of clearance enough to stop the money being paid). 6. OS x 10.6 7. "John Hi I was a victim of this scam today. I am a very experienced web user and have no doubt that i did NOT fall for a phishing scam. Somebody was able to use my itunes account to process almost $5000 of transactions through paypal. I think you should dig further. Something smells here." - Keith Teare
