Yes, us walking before talking is very much something that we have the luxury to do, but at the same time as a developer often the hardest thing to do is apply an API to idea and my argument is that if you are learning about a new API the best way is with a real app - using something like NPM lets you focus on the other part of the app and not the nitty gritty (SVG optimisation in Jake's case)" - Paul Kinlan
