By this I mean that an offline community should offer value and additional talking points for a customer.  Too many offline communities become another point to pitch to customers. "Lindsey, I think based on everything you have identified in this post, there are few reasons why spouses should set up a business together. I cannot see a reason to strain or disrupt a relationship on the basis of making money. It's just not practical. I guess you would argue that it is hard for someone like myself who isn't in business with a spouse to argue against your views. It's just something I have learnt over the last few years from others that it's safer to keep business out of personal relationships and find suitable business partners who aren't so connected to your life. I think that some job seekers (through no fault of their own) don't share the same values as you. Self employment isn't for everyone. However, there is a fine line between the want and the need of self employment. I believe that some may take it as a viable option to help pay the bills, whereas others will do it because it finally gives them a reason to follow their dreams." - Josh Chandler
