"I think there's so much upside here Sarah. It's a very nice piece of software, with a real advantage over other blogging systems. The whole site is in one document. It really works. I use it to edit Scripting News, and there are a lot of posts on that site. We need everything. Better docs that hold people's hands, a users' conference, community support. I'm a programmer, I love digging holes. But I also love it when people use my stuff. I know what you're able to do. And your experience with WordPress is super important." - Dave Winer

"Okay I added a string replace from one domain to the other. publicUrl = string.replaceAll (publicUrl, "dl.dropbox.com", "dl.dropboxusercontent.com"); It seems to work here. I don't like putting things like that into shipping code. But let's see what happens. ;-)" - Dave Winer

"What's the url you're using to access myword.io." - Dave Winer
"Matt & Phil, I have a connection between my outliner and myword.io. Here are the steps in the editorial process. 1. I write an essay. 2. I add a "description" attribute so that there's a description in the myword.io rendering. This is optional. 3. I click the printer icon in the left margin (something new). It generates the JSON from the outline and uploads it to my S3 folder, thus giving it a public URL. 4. It asks if I want to view it in myword.io (this is necessary to get around some limits of the browser, if I try to just open it, the browser thinks I;m a rogue site opening a popup window). 5. If the user clicks OK, a new tab opens, like this. http://myword.io/?url=http://l... 6. You can view the same text in my liveblog. http://reader.liveblog.co/dave... BTW, this is the application that drove me to write myword.io in the first place, I needed a place to prototype a nice-looking rendering for essays. Then I realized I could make it work with anything, not just my outliner. As I..." - Dave Winer

"Yes, quite similar. Theirs seems more general purpose, where myword.io offers a fixed format. Otherwise lots of the same choices. jQuery, Bootstrap." - Dave Winer

"That's nice, because the gist editor is a good editor. It's also good at editing JSON. Hmmm." - Dave Winer
Re: Something fun I whipped up - http://scripting.com/2015...
"I'm going to hook this up to Fargo, where all these concepts are fully developed. You can include one outline in another. The nodetype is "include" and the url attribute points to the outline that's to be included. It can be anywhere on the web, in a standard format, OPML." - Dave Winer
Re: Doors and extra bedrooms - http://scripting.com/2015...
"Matt, it was an email conversation. I just found it and sent a copy via email. I don't have a problem with making it public, but I didn't want to do it without your consent. Today, it's not a big deal. Maybe next year it will be again. Ultimately I did have to do a whole new blogging environment to get the ability to store source code and rendered content." - Dave Winer

"Tom, by reading my blog you are showing you are innovative and an original thinker. No sarcasm. Thank you for the encouraging words. I don't believe there's no way to be innovative. I just think that's the mood of our times. That the individual doesn't play much of a role in his or her own life." - Dave Winer
