Re: Silo-Busting MyWord Editor is Now Public - http://www.windley.com/archive...
"BTW, MyWord Editor is going to be competitive in ease-of-use and power with the other blogging systems. The reason to use it won't be the unique architecture, for most people. It'll be that it's the best blogging system. This is something I know about, and I'm not happy with the way blogging tools have evolved." - Dave Winer

"Thanks Phil! BTW, I already have a bunch of nodeStorage apps. http://scripting.com/2014/07/1... nodeStorage was one of the first bits I wrote as I was moving to JavaScript. So it's the foundation under all the apps I've been doing." - Dave Winer

"If you're looking to argue, you need to read our comment guidelines. http://scripting.com/2013/08/2... No arguing allowed here. If you have a complaint, write a blog post in your own space. If you can add a bit of info, or an idea, or want to provide kudos or gratitude, and can do it *briefly* then please do post a comment. Otherwise there are plenty of free-speech zones on the net. Use one of them. ;-)" - Dave Winer

"Yup, that's pretty much the idea..." - Dave Winer
Re: When will the 140-char wall come down? - http://scripting.com/2015...
"I imagine it would work exactly like "cards" and videos. You have to click to see the full content, but you don't leave the Twitter app." - Dave Winer
Re: A Medium-size hole in Twitter - http://scripting.com/2015...
"Oh so you are a 140-fundamentalist after all. ;-)" - Dave Winer
Re: A Medium-size hole in Twitter - http://scripting.com/2015...
"Yup. Trivial feature, really. There are 140-purists who say that breaks the deal, but if you look at Twitter, that train left the station a long time ago." - Dave Winer

"For a new publication ad revenue would be miniscule. The main thing is to get the flow of news started. Reporting, readers, discussion, repeat." - Dave Winer

"That's the plan. The best way to get on the radar for testing is to become a commenter on my liveblog. Dave" - Dave Winer
Re: Every reporter should be able to start a blog - http://scripting.com/2015...
"You're describing my life. In the fall of 2012, I started re-tooling, basically starting over in JavaScript. Today I have maybe 1/10 of the functionality of Frontier running in the browser. I walked away from a huge amount of fast, debugged, working code that does stuff that is very far ahead of the stacks that Node.js developers are working with. Nothing I can do about it, no one would even look at my technology. Can't say a whole lot of people are looking at it now that it's running in JavaScript in the browser and on the server. It's a very fucked up situation." - Dave Winer

Re: Comments on the Node Foundation - http://scripting.com/2015...
"Remarkable that you've misunderstood almost everything in this post. And I don't have a problem with people linking to things in comments. You might try reading a bit more carefully and thinking a bit before characterizing other people's point of view, or just stick to stating your own (probably a better idea)." - Dave Winer
