Addicted to poetry; saddened by the devaluation and denigration of language; bored by the continuous commerce and the constant cacophony of petty pop-culture.
If you have never heard Morning & Evening Ragas, with Ali Akbar Khan & Ravi Shankar, you are missing an enormously entertaing cross cultural opportunity. The same three notes could have a million variations under his amazing fingers.

http://digg.com/world_n... Silvio Berlusconi is operatic. His persona mingles mafioso, mogul, and multi-billionaire playboy in such a bloated, Boteri way that he becomes self-parody. El Pais publishes nudes from his private hideaway. Such a president makes Clinton modest in his private life.

In other words, this was a set up to make certain folks rich until it all came...

Argue with the goldfinch. Climate change is proven by ice cores of Antarctica but that is too esoteric for some. Polar bears are drowning and permafrost is no longer permanent. Inuit people are seeing their traditions disappear after countless generations. If nothing else, believe the birds. - http://www.care2.com/news...
