"On point 4, UBI only gives workers a "walk away" power if the UBI is equal to or greater than a living wage. The fear being expressed here is that if the UBI isn't a living wage, then workers will still *need* work. Wal-Mart will be able to get away with paying workers even less (since UBI makes up the difference), which enriches the stockholders even further and the workers won't have any more leverage than they do today."
