"On the money issue here is what I did. I found a gold box. I put the box in the top drawer of my mother's bureau in her bedroom. Every time she said I have no money I said hold on let me look in the gold box. Went and got the box and showed it to her with the money in it. I told her where we kept it. This worked over time. My mother would carry around big pocketfuls of change. Bring it out, look at it, count it. When we were out she would offer to pay with her change. Both seemed to keep her happy." - Bob DeMarco
