"Boy, these are some really strong claims, and a little research would have helped to substantiate your opinion.  That said, your point of ecosystem is spot on, as I see it, but the notion that Enterprise 2.0 practitioners are not considering this is off the mark. They are aware of it and are working towards understanding the ramifications of this to organizations they work for. At the Enterprise 2.0 conference, we saw many examples of this (WebTrends, Vista Print, Intel and more). Also, I don't believe the ecosystem idea means that companies will necessary shrink for a very very long time. Companies continue to grow, M&A activity is rampant and globalization is still a key strategy.
