Its there for the taking - even if you see the kinds of convos you and I have on FB vs Twitter, they do differ wildly. I see the ones we have on Twitter up for grabs. Not the kind we have on FB.  Either way, its too early to tell. This could fall flat on its face as I think you are suggesting.
