He is a teacher. Their apartment is on the 9th floor of an 11 story building and Yellowknife has 19-20 thousand people so it is not all wilderness. But he/she are wild life/camping/canoeing enthusiasts so they are looking forward to living there. The cold winter and 20 hour days/nights I think would turn me off though. - Brian Sullivan
