"I didn't realize standing up for people's rights came off as selfish. The fact that it seems to reduce the chances of "properly" being published is a problem with the industry in my opinion. Promoting their stance bay benefit Wildbow, and I'm all for that, but I don't want to do so at the expense of our rights. We have a right to fair use both legally and ethically. Choosing between supporting creators I like and rights is not a choice I want to make but if I have to I choose our rights. He's proven there's a market and that he can succeed independently to a degree already via donations. I'm not entirely convinced that he'd even make more money getting "properly" published in the long run. Likely sure, but it can be done. Is there a reason he _couldn't_ stay independent and still get movie deals and the like? I think that'd be more ideal." - Tanath
