My HTC Magic, running Cyanogen's latest android 2.1-based custom ROM, also suffers from an iPhone Grip of Death. If I hold it in my left hand, the signal bars drop in number. Hold it in my right, it's back to full strength. Simply put, any time you touch any aerial, TV rabbit ears include, you affect the signal. Who knew this already?
