"appreciate the comment. Two points for context that hopefully give you more insight into the motivation behind the post.
1. I honestly wasn't thinking about it as a dealflow/intro to VCs post (although given Homebrew I can understand why ppl thought that). It was more in relation to intro requests that i've gotten from friends/founders/acquaintances to friends/founders/acquaintances, and a comment on how I can be most effective for them over time.
2. It's my personal goal to respond at least once to every email sent to me from a founder (so long as it's not obviously some generic cut/paste). I can't always provide thoughtful feedback but I can certainly give the courtesy of a response. While this is my intent, I'm also sure that I don't hit 100% of this goal. But from a pure dealflow perspective, I can tell you that one of our investments (where we wrote a high six figure check into a ~$2m seed round) originated from a cold email to me."
