Here is your 7 Day outlook for the DFW and Waco/Temple/Killeen metro areas. There will be a very slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms through about mid-week. A cap or layer of warm air aloft will preclude widespread thunderstorm development Monday through Wednesday. However, if a storm develops, it will have the potential to become severe. The main hazards with storms will be large hail, damaging winds and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning. Heavy rain will also be possible beneath any thunderstorm that occurs. The better chance for more numerous showers and thunderstorms arrives on Thursday as a cold front slides through the area. Severe weather will be possible with these precipitation chances as well. Temperatures this week should be warm with readings in the 70s and 80s. Overnight temperatures readings will be mild in the 50s and 60s. - Greg GuitarBuster
