Here is your 7 Day outlook for the DFW and Waco/Temple/Killeen metro areas. There will be a very slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms through about mid-week. A cap or layer of warm air aloft will preclude widespread thunderstorm development Monday through Wednesday. However, if a storm develops, it will have the potential to become severe. The main hazards with storms will be large hail, damaging winds and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning. Heavy rain will also be possible beneath any thunderstorm that occurs. The better chance for more numerous showers and thunderstorms arrives on Thursday as a cold front slides through the area. Severe weather will be possible with these precipitation chances as well.
