Cool Whip is awesome for making a quick frosting. I once made a mistake and forgot some ingredients from a recipe and ended whipping pineapple juice and shredded coconut into the Cool Whip and it was fucking awesome.

Would much rather whip about a half-pound (okay, a half-cup) of powdered sugar into real cream. But mostly I don't need any creamy stuff unless the chocolate is wayyy intense. And then some ice cream is even better for the cutting.
