"At which point, you have to wonder who thought it would ever be simple? It's not like media in general was ever simple. There was never an example of a media landscape that wasn't complicated. So why when new, disruptive technology is introduced would it be a straight line for replacement and not active subversion, which is really more of what we see? That said, I have to wonder about the ultimate response to Klein and his intent with Vox. There's a certain air of condescension in the very setup which I don't think will play well with – well, anyone. It is explicitly not "these are things that the writers feel passionate about and are knowledgeable about and want to share things with you," it's "you need to have things explained to you, and we know better than you so we're going to." I don't think I'm the only one that's going to pick up on that. And I don't think I'm the only one that's going to be put off by that." - Alexander Williams
