BP document: Worst-case scenario -- 4.2 million gallons daily in Gulf - CNN.com - http://www.cnn.com/2010...
"According to an internal BP document released Sunday by Rep. Edward Markey, D-Massachusetts, BP believed that the worst-case scenario could be as high as 100,000 barrels, or 4.2 million gallons of oil per day." - Lit
I really wish Obama had done something when he first got the warning from BP in February. When Bush was president a similar incident happened with Exxon Mobile that was avoided. Sadly our actions now of increasing the price of oil will just give us more of the same. To fight these issues we must create incentives for corporations to improve safety. Instead we will chase BP to Cuba where they will be drilling for the same oil. THEY ARE GOING TO DRINK OUR MILKSHAKE! and the incompetence of the Socialists will insure we suffer. Refute the lies coming from the Global Warming Religion. If anything those arguments discredit environmental concerns. Turning America into a Green Theme Park will merely turn Mexico into a parking lot. I do not endorse people who don't understand the environment. Seven factories in China are worth all the car emissions in the United States. We certainly would like to improve the conditions of life... if anything smog and water pollution is a huge problem, but Global Warming is a fraud and pollution doesn't stay in one place. you want to improve the environment... great! Get the UN to cooperate. America does not set a model by acting unilaterally and pushing the cancers and poisons of the earth to the third world. your Global Warming religion is a catastrophe. - NoahDavidSimon
disabling comments is not a good way to engage difference. I would consider a personal attack on me in another thread here http://ff.im/mLWMO to be extremely narrow and below the standards for an open liberal mind. and no I don't mean politically liberal... I mean a real liberal free thinking mind. - NoahDavidSimon

4.2 million gallons of oil per day? How longer is it going to be like this? Can't it be fixed? (Sorry, I haven't been tracking the state of this disaster). - Avinash
It's been going on since April and they haven't been able to stop it despite many efforts...Here is a pictorial progression of the devastation http://www.cnn.com/2010... - Lit
