I could try and list all the things that are broken, but instead, just checkout the video of the page loading on a cable connection: http://bit.ly/1vEUSjM I wonder if anyone at HBO actually tried using their own site? First, the page is blocked on downloading a ton of tiny JS files, then the 3MB flash clunker comes in, followed by more JS and image download... first (useful) render at a sweet ~20s.
