I want one in my phone/netbook: nVidia introduces Tegra 2 at CES (http://bit.ly/8f82E1) Dual 1 Ghz ARM cores, high speed 3D, 100% HW H.264 1080p decoding for up to 16 hrs on a single charge.
That's more powerful than laptops I've had in the not-so-distant past. - Matt M (inactive)
I bet that's what the ChromeOS tablet will use. - Nick Lothian
Yep, and probably not the Apple Tablet, because Apple has an inhouse SoC designer and a less than golden relationship with nVidia now. This could mean totally kick ass games for ChromeOS netbooks (if native client is included) They've already demoed Unreal Engine 3 running on Tegra 2. The battery life for movie playback is amazing. - Ray Cromwell
Well to be fair - it doesn't actually talk about the GPU much, but you'd expect it be decent. - Nick Lothian
I guess Firefox really is going to have to work out some way to get H.264 <video> decoding in (as opposed to the vorbis decoding in CPU), because it's going to rapidly appear slow & battery heavy compared to browsers that can take advantage of this. - Nick Lothian
