"It seems like most of the "slow" complaints are about third party, non-native apps. Remember that the original iPhone did not have an App Store which allowed Apple to be very conscious about the performance of apps on the device. We may see a similar thing here where a native SDK could provide the speed needed to alleviate many of the complaints (although potentially with a significant loss in battery life)" - Brandon Titus
