This timeline has both history and future/prediction sections. There are 4 areas: computation, AI, transportation and lifestyle, and communication. You can suggest moving a prediction in time, and you can vote for or make predictions. Some of the predictions on the timeline are really great like "Simulated Animal Testing" and "Understanding Animals," but most of them and their implications sound rather frightening to me. I suppose that as time goes on, some of the things will happen and it will make total sense and add to society.
