That's So CAJ!

I used to have some clever words here. ["iphwin" on the IMs.] Also see www.kathrynscraps.com (gratuitous plug for wife's papercrafting website)
As much as I might try to deny it or just plain ignore it, there's a welling sense of mental distress caused by the imminent shutdown of FriendFeed. FF was my first real social network. I had been social on other sites but not like this. The discussion here ranged farther in topic matter and deeper in my caring about them.
While other sites (including frenf.it) may have captured part of the FF experience, none will ever truly be it. There will always be an empty space in me when it is gone. - CAJ was here
Well said. - Stephen Mack
That pizza place in Indiana? The one who said they wouldn't cater a gay wedding? (I don't think they ever said they haven't, just that they wouldn't.) The Go Fund Me for them topped out at $842,637. (http://www.gofundme.com/Memorie...)
I'm not sure I know what to do with that knowledge. - CAJ was here
Hmmm, I wonder if we can set up vanity searches on frenf.it?
Hmmmm, perhaps not just yet. - CAJ was here
UGH. Yet another reason to dislike Facebook. I"m reading an article and it uses Facebook for the comment system. Fine, whatever. EXCEPT when I click on "View 8 more comments", it shows me ONE more comment. Then I do the clicky dance of unhiding each comment ONE BY ONE. Who designed this torture system? <sigh>
While I know people never read emails, it's still no less frustrating when someone asks why something wasn't done when I explicitly said it was going to be done on April 6th. <sigh>

I liked a @YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch... BAC Mono - Jay Leno's Garage
BAC Mono | Uncrate - http://uncrate.com/stuff...
"If you've ever dreamed of driving a legit Formula One car that is street legal, the BAC Mono is a dream come true. The first street legal, track day car from Briggs Automotive, this single seater is made using high-strength carbon fiber composite, making it incredibly light at only 1,190 pounds. That weight and the 2.3 liter four-cylinder engine help deliver a top speed of 170 mph and a zero to 60 of just 2.8 seconds. What it may lack in straightaway speed compared to some of the big boys it makes up for thanks to it's ultra light chassis and a flat-shifting, 6-speed transmission. It's fast, sleek, and sure to be the envy of, well everyone." - CAJ was here
Nothing to see in this tweet. I may or may not be testing a feed somewhere.
One of my co-workers said he didn't think Ryan Reynolds should be Deadpool. I think I literally stared at him for 30 seconds before I could process what he said. Once he saw the test footage, he was able to see the light. (We don't talk about that Green Lantern movie.)

I suppose I may need to work on the eulogy for my account here. I'm not leaving until the lights go out but I'm sure I'll want to make one significant and blubbery post right before that. Let's just call it April 8th, which is sadly a Wednesday. (I promise nothing camel-related!)

Taco Bell Announces New Breakfast Menu Item - http://www.incrediblethings.com/food...
"Last year, Taco Bell starting serving breakfast, changing the AM forever. Today, the company’s announced a new breakfast item being added to the mix: the Biscuit Taco. Allow me to be the first to say get in my belly. I mean, in reference to the Biscuit Taco. It’s described as a warm, fluffy, buttery biscuit folded it in the shape of a taco and filled with classic breakfast flavors: sausage, egg and cheese; bacon, egg and cheese; crispy chicken with country gravy; crispy chicken with Taco Bell’s new signature Jalapeno Honey. I will have one of each. Jk jk, I will have ten of each. At least." - CAJ was here

If you can get in the habit of not doing something, why can't you get in the habit of doing it?
I will say this about frenf.it, out certainly takes pressure off of friending someone on FB just because you have a large number of mutual friends. I'm pretty open to connecting with anyone but really don't like the idea of someone having to think about if they want to accept my friend request or not. :-|
By incredible happenstance, I brought a piece of pie to work for dessert today. More amazingly, it's dessert for the leftovers of the chicken pot pie I also brought.
Ha ha - we were meant to have pie last night, but due to 'circumstances' we're having it today. - Heleninstitches #teamff
Had a fun lunch date with about a dozen or more folks that I used to work with before I moved to Miami. Apparently, after nearly seven years some things change (like everyone scattered to new areas) while some things don't (still an awesome bunch of folks). While I'm not on course to head back into the building or the Intelligence Community...
...it was nice to see all the familiar faces and do some catching up. - CAJ was here
The most amusing part was how people didn't immediately recognize me since I was no longer in uniform and have significantly longer hair. One person mentioned they realized who I was after hearing my voice. The "lightbulb" moments in people's eyes was awesome. Especially since the reaction was a happy smile and warm embrace in most cases. - CAJ was here

How To Be A Beer Enthusiast Without Being A Beer Asshole - http://adequateman.deadspin.com/how-to-...
"Beer is so, so good. All of it gets you drunk, and a lot of it even tastes good in the process! What more could you ask for? Maybe just a quick little primer on how to get the most out of the experience? What's that? "No," you say? "Fuck that," in fact, you say?" - CAJ was here

Health Benefits Of Warm Water: 6 Ways Drinking Warm Water Can Heal Your Body - http://www.medicaldaily.com/health-...
"Most of us start our mornings with a fresh, hot cup of coffee or tea to warm our bodies after getting out of bed. When we drink water, we tend to prefer it cold, but according to Ayurvedic medicine, we have it all wrong. Regularly drinking very warm water, especially in the morning, can heal our bodies, providing digestive power and reducing metabolic waste that could have built up in our immune system." - CAJ was here
I drink warm water when I'm cold and can't stomach yet another cup of coffee (I KNOW, I KNOW). And also when I have indigestion. - Melly #FForever
