"You really weren't paying very good attention, huh? Most have answered, but I think #2 is more about how Morgan Freeman mention that Jack was a hero astronaut. Imagine the confusion and psychological effect of having one of your heroes wipe out civilization. Pretty traumatic. As far as his memories - I'm not so sure how we can judge how cloning of humans might work, especially with Aliens involved. It's not much of a sci-fi stretch. I've been really disappointed in the reviews I've seen of this movie for the most part. It seems like it's too much for the attention span of most Americans and our YouTube generation.
