Ok, it get's a bit stranger now. The stream is now showing the correct avatar but the input box for buzz has the old image still as the avatar. - Jerry Schuman

I have a very peculiar issue in Buzz. It's likely just another annoying bug but thought I'd throw it out there. My avatar has reverted to a very old image that I used almost a year ago. I go to my profile page and it's correct. I go into my email settings page and it's correct. I open the path to the avatar image that Buzz is displaying and it's definitely coming from the Google domain. WTF? I just changed my settings to have NO AVATAR and just the generic image. Avatar remains the same. Thoughts? - Jerry Schuman

Oh hell, now @jasoncalacanis posts are exhibiting the "you can't mute me" phenomena. I hope the hell that Google Buzz engineering team is going to squash this bug and fast. If I click mute, I sure the hell mean it. Another question I'd like answered is what is the potential gesture implications for mute. Is there going to be some weight associated with mutes? One thing for sure.. Buzz has ripped Google Contacts wide open. I can't believe the number of results I'm getting back. The associations through the social graph is pretty impressive too. An example, look up Sean Bonner and instantly brings up Tara Brown (his wife). Also takes FriendConnect to a whole new level with regards to tying together your Follow Me options on blogs etc. - Jerry Schuman

So the race is on to be the first proxy for Buzz -> Twitter posts. Ping.fm should be busting ass right now for the first implementation. Sure it would be a short lived solution while Google puts in their own bridge but you could imagine the traffic and data you could harvest in the meantime. I wouldn't expect less but indexing is close to instantaneous for BUZZ posts within Google. Pull up search and check the Show Options link and select Updates. It will be very interesting to see how PageRank is influenced for embeded links here. - Jerry Schuman
